Christmas Fair – 12th of December Group of young people put together a plan to deliver a Christmas fair to raise money for a little boy with cerebal Palsy. One Young person suggested raising money for a little boy he knew, all young people agreed it was great idea and contributed their own ideas and together prepared all their resources; this included a letter to local businesses kindly asking for donations (which was a great success) a poster advertising the event and a variety of activities for local people to enjoy while doing something for a good cause. Our volunteers, planned, prepared and deliver amazing stalls to raise funds for Wallsend Boys Club Youth Provision. They decided to have Name the Teddy, Pull the Ribbon, Lucky Dip and Tombola. On the day of the event, we even run out of stock and had to buy more prizes. As the stalls were in demand!! The young people made a grand total of £273!!! Big well done to all the volunteers for making this possible.
Wallsend Boys’ Club Players visit Newcastle United Training Ground Courtesy of Barclays Barclays Bank sponsored a visit to Newcastle United’s training ground for twelve lucky Wallsend Boys’ Club representative football team’s players on Tuesday 24th March 2015. The players were accompanied by Wallsend Boys’ Club officials Vince Carrick, Michael McGill and Ian Riley. They watched the players training for an hour and a half, followed by a packed lunch, which was provided by the club.
