Adventure Sunderland

An excellent and action packed full day of water sport activities for the 8 young people involved. It was something none of our young people had tried before and unfortunately although there were many young people interested in attending the session we were restricted by group numbers for health and safety reasons. Everyone was kitted out with helmets and life jackets, then given a dry learning curve on the correct methods used in kayaking before then entering the water, where they developed skills in oaring, balance and moving. The afternoon session, revolved around learning how to surf from lying down...

Kirkley Hall

This was a great experience for our 8 young people who took part, first the young people were given a great health and safety talk, informing the YP about risk assessments and the many hazards involved with the sessions planned. They were then fully kitted out with helmet, safety harness and correct ropes. The young people then had a full action packed hour of going up and down the zip wires, flying over a small gorge, which the YP really enjoyed. After the zip wire, were more team building and practical challenges, where the young people had to work as...

A few of the girls were very hesitant at first, but as the lesson went on the girls started to relax and really enjoyed them selves, they have...

The first activity was snow tubing, how they enjoyed this, tubing down a synthetic snow ramp was definitely their side of FUN. After this was a good old Archery challenge between two teams, and yeah team Phil won. Hard exercise was next on the agenda a half mile full assault course, by the end the young people had really enjoyed this but half of them were left panting. A nice break followed with this quick relaxation and lunch provided by the Boys Club. After dinner...
